Makerere University Researcher, Dr Stella Nyanzi appeals against 18 months sentence

ZDr Stella  Nyanzi  who is expected to serve only nine months in prison since she had already spent other nine months on remand has appealed to the court to withdraw the punishment indicating that the magistrate passed an illegal and disproportionate sentence. Organisations conducting medical camps in various parts of the country have been cautioned against carrying out Hepatitis B Treatment. screening without giving out vaccines for the disease. The State Minister for Health in charge of General Duties,  Sarah Opendi  says if they don’t have the hepatitis B vaccines, they should not carry out screening because this can cause self-satisfaction about the disease and eventually cause loss of lives because anytime one can contract the disease. Kelly  is now facing four sets of  separate sex-crime charges  after being charged with two more counts of prostitution and solicitation involving a girl under 18 years for an alleged incident in 2001 on Monday 5 August 2019 by Minneapolis, Minnesota authorities.
